looking factory fresh there jack!!! glad i could help out with the measurements  heres some pics of a shifter plate i did about 4 years ago for one of my homies SS's.do you have the lil breadbox mount/bracket(the bb attaches to it with a screw/bolt in the back)?i have a couple if you need one,pm me a shipping adress and ill get it to you.PLEASE keep the progress pics coming!!!

Hey, thanks Jose.
I like the carbon fiber look on the shifter plate, etc. Thanks for posting up the pics for me. At least I have a good idea of what it will look like when it's done. Was it fairly easy to get it over the edges, nooks and crannies?

Thanks for your generous offer, my friend. I actually found the breadbox bracket and console mount at the junkyard several months back. I cut them out of a Monte Carlo. The breadbox tab is welded in. You'll probably notice in one of the other interior pics. I made sure it was in place before putting the sound deadening and carpet in.
Hopefully, I'll keep the progress coming.

It's looking awesome but where are the coffee cup holders?...
Thanks Steve.
Cup holders?? We don't need no stinkin' cup holders....

Looks really good Jack. I think you will change your mind about the cup holder. I borrowed Mike P.'s idea and used a cup holder from a poker table . The hard part was taking a hole saw to a brand new $50 SS shifter plate. I find that it's kind of handy having it now.

looks great, jack! a friend has an interior from those guys (dark gray)...quality stuff
Thanks Ed!
They're actually a distributor for ACC brand carpet. They seem to make a quality product and have had a good reputation over the years.

Thank you Paul.
I should have taken you up on the offer of using your two assistants...
I have a cup holder insert from a '90's Pontiac GrandAm... I don't know if I want to bore thru the shifter plate.

Pretty snappy Jack!

How much extra carpet did you buy?

Does the rear seat carpet go all the way up the area behind the rear seat?

Did the red interior cars have black belt buckles or is that your personal touch?

Looks good dude, wish I was cutting carpet. ...

Hey Jack,
Saw you went with the bonded logic sound deadening. Saw the shout out. How'd it work out for you? In my neck of the woods it's working great. No interior resonance, and the car stays nice and cool inside. Still get a little header heat but not bad at all. Everything's looking nice on your build. You just reminded me, I need sun visors still. Guess I need to get to ordering.
