Thank you, Steve,
First off, I had to grind a few vertical slots in the support bar in order to gain more movement upward. Secondly, I had to tweak the bumper in the center with a few bar clamps and a pry bar between the bumper and the edge of the body to allow more clearance. Otherwise the tailgate wouldn't open. It now clears, but with the tailgate down it kinda rests on the license plate pocket. I think I'll have to modify(shorten) the two support cables. I'm still trying to determine how to accomplish that, and still be functional.

if you really want reverse light, just flush a white led into the lenses you made (and wire properly), prob barely notice it but would prob be pretty bright at night, flush them in on the outside upper corner
or put 1 in the 4 corners of the lenses (so four in each lens)
sweet... I will try to find a pick of the leds i had flushed into my harley bag for my turn/brake lights... could also do something like that, but anyhow, great workLongroof79 said:LSCustoms said:looks amazing! great job!

I might eliminate the back-up light all together. The back-up lights haven't worked in awhile. The switch that's wired for them by my shifter is broken and I never bothered to replace it.
I like the led idea. If I do re-install the deflector, I was thinking of cutting a slot in it and flush mounting an led strip for a third brake light.
