Wellston, OK
While looking for interior parts leads, I ran across this in a Tulsa yard inventory. Aside from the fact I had an ad running for like a year looking for wagons, I hope they enjoyed the $60 they probably collected for scrapping it.

Wow!!
I agree...what a waste. It's too bad that car probably met a terrible fate....hopefully someone was able to save it.

On the other side of the coin it can be very frustrating selling a car when idiot after idiot contacts you and it could come to the point of just dumping the car to get back your sanity.

I agree, and that wagon was worked on. The springs are new, wheels are nice, and it has a custom color- "bus stop yellow". But remember, most people just don't see what we see in an old car. As much as they may like the car, when it needs a transmission or other high dollar repair, that's all folks. And even if they are hip enough to post it as "parting out" or whatever, after months pass and it doesn't move, it gets junked. Not everyone is equipped to dismantle and store parts that may or may not ever sell. That said, how many times have you been on the road and seen a truckload of cars going to the junkyard and they are all half the age of the car you are driving?

You're right Mark,
Not everyone sees a car in the same light as a gearhead does. He'll see the potential in what a regular person would consider as junk.

Maybe it was a flood car or something....saw a nice el Camino up here by Chicago that sat in the Kankakee river for a few weeks...it looked awesome on the outside but was trashed inside.
