i will have to look at mine to tell you what to snip its been a while haha, all you need is a positive and a neg. i forgot exactly how mine was hooked up i can check that this weekend and let you know, mines hooked up so when i hit my brake it kicks it off and when i let off the brake if the switch is on it turns back on.

ok thanks, well it shifts like it should, the reason i wanted to get a new bracket to the naked eye it looked as if it would over extend the cable, i took it for a ride a few times getting it into 4th up and down seemed as if it did when i pulled the motor, so its all fine, but should i be able to eliminate those excess wires without screwing up the lock up,

there is only one proper way and one proper setting for the tv cable so you can't determine if it is adjusted by the shift points..and for the three wires I don't know what you have disconnected or removed so I have no idea if the lock up is going to work. There are kits to bypass the computer but i know some on here have done their own wiring to bypass the computer

all you need is a positive and a ground going to the right spots on the connection on the side of the trans and a toggle switch and your lockup will work, you just have to manualy turn it on

I bought a bypass which is more expensive than just wiring it but the TCI bypass is a bit more user friendly as it allows the lockup to be controlled automatically using a valve body pressure switch and an engine vacuum switch. The system also allows manual control to override the automatic functions so that the lockup can be turned on in second and third gear or shut off altogether.
