I test fit the filler pieces and then painted them black. I also put a wrinkle finish on the metal radiator brace and the two braces that support the header panel to make them blend in to the texture plastic. The final product looks pretty clean and finished the engine a little more. The fillers also worked out perfect to hide some of the wiring and stuff for my headlight upgrade :lol:I love the look of the bright white lights and loving being able to see at night.

I still had more time on my hands before the snow was gone so I decided to start working on the trunk and do a little sound deadening. I started in the trunk and stopped behind the front seats. I also wanted to hide a small sub in the trunk for a better sound system then stock.

The plan for the trunk is to have the sound system completely hidden. If you open it, it will look completely finished with a cover over the spare tire but easy to access probably made out of ABS but carpeted to complete to look of the trunk, I am also thinking of putting an Olds rocket symbol under the carpet on the block off panel I think that would look cool. After winter was over i started doing more work to it. I picked up some hooker engine swap headers. They sucked trying to fit in the car.. Greg and I Had to modify about every tube to fit. I also picked up some chrome tips. I needed a posi for it because my car didn't have the option.

after trying to take the car on a little trip the car let me know that my radiator was not adequate so i picked up a nicer/thicker aluminum one. It did the trick. Also after installing the posi I found out the car wanted to wheel hop.. allot. so We put the poly bushings in the rear and boxed off the control arms. Now the car doesn't even attempt to wheel hop during a burnout or take off... not like I do that sort of thing .

So after all that I was still able to take my car to 3 car shows this year. Very fun to see people look at the car and ask questions. Fun getting thumbs up every time I drive it. So more pictures to come as finish my trunk and other things.
