What like carjacked-shot? if so, that sucks to think it happens so much to people with a certian type of car so often that others reconize it as a trend in your city. very sad. No car is worth killing or dying over.
On another note, the 2nd amendment is well respected and exercised by me at all times. :)

but back on topic, I hate when people ask me (in a prius owner type of way) about mpg while knowing full well its not like im not going to say" Oh, get 30-32 mpg on the highway." i mean does it look (or sound) like the type of car a person worried about amazing mpg would buy and drive?
and the other stupid one is the " muscle car classification" argument. lord knows Im tired of hearing about this. muscle car or not, its a full frame rear wheel drive v8 thats damn near 30 years old and as beaten some pretty nice 60/70s era v8s both at carshows and maybe once or twice at some light to light action.

Listening to other people is like worrying on a rocking chair- gets you nowhere. Btw, was at a Mecum event last Fall, their announcer in his presentation at a private gathering said the G body's were the next hot item in market... Anyway, enjoy what you like- chasing other people's opinions never ends in happiness..

I've had it happen to me. A guy shoved a gun in my face and said "You know what it is". I just punched the gas, got my window shot out. My buddy just had someone back a tow dolly under his 86 Monte Carlo SS last week while he was at the grocery store. I definitely have theft coverage on my car, thats for sure.

I can get around 20mpg in my Cutlass with a mildly built 305 if I drive it accordingly. Partly because I can cruise at 50 with my foot just rested on the pedal. So these cars can do quite well on gas, it's just boring if you drive it with that mind set lol
And touching on the "Muscle Car Classification"; Websters Dictionary defines a Muscle Car as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving." I'm pretty sure a lot of G-Bodies fit that description quite well.

It's the very last RWD full frame car GM made. Ford had the Thunderbird Lincoln had The beautiful Mark8.Sadly they are worthless due to aftermarket demands. There is value there somewhere. As long as they keep getting destroyed by hydraulics or 80" gold rims. That and long as you have a decent OEM supplier I believe the stock unmolested eventually will start getting hot. What other car can you fit a 3.8-455......with little to no modifications???

it may be a full frame but I would not suggest to drop in a 455 without a frame off to upgrade the frame.

Granted yes more or less still fits lol. Still sad about the Mark 8. Probably the most beautiful coupe during the 90s shame you can't build them unless it's totally one off. Did have a spot for the 97 Thunderbird. 4.6 you can build but still no aftermarket support. The G body is hands down the last true budget builder. 70s cars are now getting harder to afford. 79 trans-am = $5000/$7000 as a roller. Pretty soon all that will be left is the Gbody. Did notice the C4 vette values tanked. Maybe do one of those as well. I get knocked around about my cutlass by the import kids. Keep a 10 ft logging chain in the trunk lol wanna go? Let's rock. What's interesting is where the values go on the new flock of mustangs , challengers and cameros.

Personally I don't know if import kids say anything about my car since I ignore people like that and never felt the need to keep a 10 ft logging chain in my car or any other weapon

Ah not a weapon. Actually funny. Graduated 2001. Orange Honda civics were the rage. Had my hand me down 79 Electra coupe. Lived out in the woods chain was already in back for the tractor. Couple of kids from school drove me nuts about racing them. 350/th400 never had a chance. Buddy hit the trunk button pulled the chain out and wrapped it around my back bumper. Something about tourqe and frame rigidity. Never laughed so hard in my life.
