Fuel line won't seal.....

what about cutting off that flair and make a new one...

That's one of the problems with stainless lines is there is very little room for adjustment and because their hardness they don't conform well if not perfectly lined up.
Not to step on the OP's shoes but I was thinking of buying Inline Tubes SS brake line kit for my kids Cutlass.Sounds like maybe I should just get the regular kit.Any thoughts or other recommendations?
 
Personally, vendor aside, I believe you would have better luck with mild steel tubing. As other guys have said, SS tubing is very hard and almost impossible to re-flare without hydraulics. The lines on the factory cars have lasted over thirty years..timo22

Stainless looks nice but it is a b*tch. Return it get the reg steel one.

I did all of my lines with Cunifer tubing (copper/nickel) it doesn't rust and is easy to bend and flare.
I bought 25' rolls off bay and then bought all of the fittings at my local auto parts store

Looking at the photo's ...Did you kink the tube at the 90 degree bend or was that how it was supplied?
I hate to bad mouth the competition but, If that is how they sent the tube (Kinked at the 90 degree) I'd send it back. Also the flare does look deformed. Just for grins and giggles... look down inside to see if they left a burr inside the tube like in this picture.This would cause a problem with sealing.

I've used .375 stainless for fuel lines on my brothers 74 Monte Carlo and have not had any issues with it.
Give Classic Tube a call, I'm sure we have what you need.
