You're not wrong...when I pulled the 307 for the 355 the mounts went straight into the trash, engine/trans went to scrap. Dumb of me, hell yeah it was...but I was 19 and logic was different in those days....not to mention short term memory issues because of, errr, things.

Yah it didn't help that the 307 went completely backwards with the swirl port version. Less compression and tiny ports didn't help the Olds V8 reputation.

GM philosophy, make things crappy, ruin it, or ignore it like a unwanted step child to justify dumping it.

"Yuse" guys are driving away the elky crowd. When I was in the Army a New Yorker and guy from Florida were having a big discussion whether Coke is called "pop" or "soda?" They asked me what it's called. I said "soda pop."

When I lived in Dallas, a coworker was pissed when I brought him a Coke after he said he wanted a Coke. I asked what the hell he expected, and he said he wanted a Dr Pepper...claimed everybody called all soda pop "Coke" and I should have asked what kind...WTF?
