Nice finish all around. The reflections are really crisp. How is your paint booth handling the PG&E winds? What do you use for a compressor?

Thanks I like to think I have high standards for bodywork, black shows everything and I love the color for that reason.

Right now it’s ok, I have the canopy weighed down but I’m putting all my jobs on hold, I’m going to hopefully cementing more to open up the space. The winds are not good for sealing up a canopy, they also mess with my exhaust and box fan setup since I can’t physically mount those to a tarp. In response I’ve shot out of a garage also but the amount of plastic that goes into creating clean space is ridiculous. The temperature is getting a bit toward the low side on my end right now as well.

I use a Campbell Hausfield 2 Stage 60 gallon 240V compressor. Getting them used on OfferUp is a great way to find a decent compressor. It runs on 10-30 full synthetic. 60 gal+ is a good fit for shooting but I may upgrade to an 80 gallon in the future.

Hello to all I got me an 87 Cutty project yesterday. It’s going to need some patch panels welded in due to the vinyl top and I’m going to be doing a tuneup on her soon. I plan to take her down to metal and restore her myself and paint her black (WA8555) like I painted this Monte Carlo for someone. Here’s some of what I do and thanks for reading I look forward to getting some GBody game on here!

🤜🤛

BEAUTIFUL WORKMANSHIP!! And WELCOME!!! Congratulations on the Cutlass!

Thanks bro I appreciate you. Find you a cool painter and make sure a good, reputable High Solids clear is used on your job. A good shooter and nice wet clear is worth the money.
Thanks I've found a good shooter, I used him on my engine bay. I will be sure to get him to use a nice clear not some cheap crap.

The clear I shot on that video is Matrix AG40. It’s around $225 for the kit and I absolutely love it. I used the Very Slow catalyst and didn’t reduce it at all. One of the tricks to a nice wet finish is using the slowest catalysts and reducers you possibly can, given the weather. Fast is for cash but slow is for the show! Good luck!
