Im down to the last few things on my 81. One of the last things I need to buy has to do with the carb/throttle cable. What have you guys used to hook up the factory cable to a Holley ? Ive seen a few different types. Is there a specific part number that everyones using ?

Holley has kits to use stock throttle cables that are usually come with the carb new .If its used you could check with Holley and or a knowledgeable auto ,and or "speed shop"

The cable usually isnt the issue

What bracket you use is

This is the set up I've had on my 406 Chevy in my 79 Monte Carlo for years.

Accepts the stock throttle cable and TV cable for the transmission.

Looks like you just need the throttle stud and bushing if you plan to use the large hole. I purchased the stud and bushing but returned the bushing due to not needing it.

So, you think I have the correct bracket ? Where do you get the spring clip that holds it all together ?

For small blocks I have always used this one.

Completely adjustable

I believe the bracket you have will work with it. the spring clip I took from the Q-Jet it replaced. The return springs came from the same carb.

I always use something the bolts to the carb rather than the intake. Not saying intake mounted ones don't work, but sometimes it's hard to figure out which one you need. Carb mounted one takes all the guesswork out.
