hey guys! Wondering what options there are for copper and brass radiators. I want to maintain clutch fan. its going in an 84 cutlass with 350 chevy and 700r4. Only radiators I’ve seen are summits and us radiators. Any others out there or has anyone used either of those?

Why not go aluminum, I have a Champion in my 86' Regal with a 355 SBC and it stays a 180 thermostat temp all day using a new thermal clutch and a new 6 blade fan with aluminum blades.

I have a becool aluminum one in the car...I’ve had nothing but problems cooling and fitment is crap. Had no problems with previous copper and brass ready rad radiator. Looks like they no longer sell it though

The only thing different on the Champion was the inlet and outlet hoses are about .25" larger but other than that it fit like the factory 307 radiator.
I have never used a BeCool since I always thought they were way over priced, I have a big Griffen in my Monte that is oversized but I knew I would have to make that fit but even so it still fits well and cools the BBC.

BeCool is overpriced junk

I have these in both my cars never had any issues with overheating a big block Chevy or small block Olds

100% Made in USA

perfect fit

no incorrect size hose ends

stock fan shroud fits (trim rubber supports)

Give Frank a call, he is a real nice guy.

We had a becool in my dads car, agree overpriced junk, started leaking after 2 years. Never got over 185 even with ac on and full of pinhole leaks over about a 10 year period. Ended up having a local radiator shop take the original brass and copper radiator and make it a 4 core, that was in 2010 or 11, haven’t had a single issue with it, engine still stays below 190-195 at all times.

Wish I came across these ones before I ordered the Cold Case. Cheaper & still looks closer to stock style.

When I first got my 81 I ordered a "custom fit" Griffin from Summit. I opened the box, took a quick look and stuck it in the corner of my garage. I never took it out to check it. When it came time to use it I took it out of the box and it was wracked side to side. Needless to say I was pissed. Since I had it so long Summit and Griffin wouldnt take it back.
Long story short I bought a 4 row from US Radiator. Its a quality piece. Nicely built and finished. Tanks look original and no BS trimming the saddles. Im using a mechanical fan. No clutch. I dont know how it will work as far as cooling. Cars not finished yet. The original 3 row worked but since some works been done to the motor I hope this will cool it.
One thing though, I thought about running electric fans. I called Spal and spoke to their tech support to figure out which setup would work. The guy said I would have to get their most powerful fan setup due to the radiator having 4 rows. Hard to draw air through a thick core. He said I would also have to use a larger alternator to run the fan. Since I already bought a new alternator I said the heck with it and bought the big fan.

side note about fan shrouds. The two piece “chevy” shroud protrudes approximately 1” closer towards engine (5” out from radiator) where the one piece olds style one is about 4” from radiator
