A good factory floor would definitely be nice to have. I don't think I really need all of it, but it would certainly make things easier. Removing all the braces is what is really a pain. I'm not sure exactly how much I'll end up removing but it's pretty likely I'll wind up removing a brace. Good to know the Sherman floor comes with the inner rocker just in case I can't get ahold of a factory pan.

I'm going to try to rebuild the inner rocker in a less complicated way than GM did. I have to take a closer look at that patch panel that was welded in from underneath. If you look at my last picture, you can see the green fiberglass filler where the edges of the patch were dressed. On the side forward of the fiberglass filler is the patch panel, on the side rearward is the body mount. I believe the body mount itself is okay.

Anyways, it may not look like a whole lot, but this is the lousy, pain in the *ss work that I don't like doing. Welding in new pieces is easy. There is a guy on craigslist locally who says he has several rust free floor pans complete from rocker to rocker. I'm thinking that may be the way to go as far as patch panels are concerned. Just cut out and use as much or as little as I need rather than buy aftermarket panels and still have to fab some of my own stuff. It'd be cheaper too.
I'm eyeing watching that guy's listing too. I hope he still has a few when I have the extra car money (which I hope is soon.)

Edit: I corrected myself.

Yeah, I've seen his ad, I'm planning on getting in touch with him when I'm ready to buy a section.
