Well, tecnically it was yesterday I finished up on it, but I got my Retrax Powertrax Pro MX rolling bed cover installed on the new truck. I searched and researched for almost a month before I settled on a Powertrax. I bought it on the last day of the 10% off sale. $2,599 regular price. I managed to save $259.90. Took a bite out of the budget. But it has sealed rollers, a 3 year warranty, and it's made rather sturdy and sure seems like a quality unit. Hopefully it'll last a long time. I think it can hold about 400 lbs on the top (evenly distributed they say). Dang thing weighs a bit over 100 lbs assembled and getting it into the truck pretty much by myself was a PITA. You have to assemble the rails on the canister unit first then lift the whole thing up into the truck. Umph! Wife "helped" but she more or less guided it rather than help lift it. But I got 'er done.

Routing the wiring from the battery back to the unit was fun. I can confirm the 2020 Sierras have the frame wax as well as my old 2010. FUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....k!!! That stuff sucks to work around.

I had a bakflip on the 2010, and it was nice, but this bad dad is the cat's azz! I think I'm going to love it. Eats up a little space in the front, but not terrible. It has a fob control to open or close it (no manual way to do it though if your battery craps out) but you can mate it with the Home Link buttons on the overhead console so you don't have to have the fob with you 100% of the time. Got to do that yet, but this is LOVELY. The wife likes it because she's not tall enough to operate a manual Retrax very efficiently, so it's good for her should I ever allow her to drive my truck! :)

Finally changed our outdoor lighting out front. The door light was rough looking, and the "used to be" motion light by the garage door was broken and such when we bought the house. I'm a picky azz, so it took awhile to find matching lights that I liked. Menards had em in stock, and the larger is a motion dusk to dawn unit... View attachment 150156

Nice to see I am not the only one with an ugly caulk... job. ;)

Had a pretty big branch fall in the yard so I got out my Poulan 2800 and cut it up. This saw is from 1986 and is original down to the chain. I bought it for $25 from an old lady at a yard sale not running. Needed fuel lines. It's small at 46cc but it's a great limbing saw. Probably was only used a handful of times.

Found this in the woods. No idea who's it was or how long its been back there. Gonna Evapo-Rust it and see what happens.

Saw Momma hawk way up in the trees this morning. Got a picture of her before she took off.

And I put the Cub Cadet up on ramps and pressure washed underneath the deck. Grass was starting to build up and I really don't want this machine getting rusty.

All I see are four potential murder weapons... is that wrong?

Fourth and final post in here for the day.

Started trying to figure out where we are going to park it if she gets it.

Made a door handle for my truck. Such great engineering at work. I felt compelled to share.
