Bought the wife a new (to us) '17 Sante Fe Sport cause the '07 Sante Fe had tin worms in a corner of the front sub frame. Was a super good car.

I've heard a lot of good about that particular generation of Sante Fes. We had an 06 Kia Sedona that was a problem child and turned me off of Hyundai/Kia but you aren't the first person I've heard speak well about those older Sante Fes.

That was the longest owned car I had that never was touched by a tow truck. We bought it used in '08 with less than 20K, was under a year old & was a rental car in Connecticut. Biggest issue was replacing the fuel sender switches cause the contacts were worn out.

Spilled purple Hellcat blood.

Did American things and took it racing.

Happy 4th!

There is a creak in my daily, an 06 Ford Fusion. Everything is tight, and it only does it in warmer weather. It’s getting worse, and at 170k, I just ordered all the control arm/ ball joint assembly’s and a set of quick struts. My wife bought it new, I did the motor mounts and both outer tie rods last summer because they were toast. $200 for the control arms and complete struts just seemed like a no brainer.

Hopefully you have better luck than me.

I went for a quick log to sanity check my 98 GMC K1500. It makes about 4psi with the wee 1.6L Whipple twin screw at altitude. Tomorrow I set sail for MI and I wanted to see how stuff was looking in the areas of the maps I can't hit here. Got my fingers crossed on fueling, I think I'll run out of MAF, and pulled 7 degrees out of the tippy top of the map. I'd flat lined it a bit before that point and it needed to keep nose diving. I think I'll still have some knock retard, but my guess is low single digits. Super glad I cleaned this up and I can't wait to see how it pulls down there. I've never had the 1500 at a lower elevation with the blower. I ought to be around 7psi there. Really hope I don't run out of pump.
