As Longroof said, the F-body brackets won't work due to the offset holes. Energy Suspensions sells a Greasable bracket/36mm bushing for GM trucks that may need less bracket mods to work (GM Trucks have 3" bolt centers)
I'd like to look into a set of greasable brackets. Thank you for the information.
Btw, when I first got my 36mm bar, of course, I took the brackets as well thinking that they would bolt up like the standard G-body parts. I guess I found out like everyone else had that they don't work. I even tried modifying them, or the mounting holes. They just were too wonky.

Make this a sticky.

Better hold off that until I get it on and test drive it. It could all go south and I throw the bar in the trash. Too soon to tell.

I got the same kit from amazon.ca for under $20 C....

Who was the seller? Lon takes I think 35mm ones or whatever is available and machines/modifies them to 36mm. Nothing off the shelf is 36mm, IIRC.

Paul,
Did you use the brackets supplied with the bushings? I see that they're for an F-body. I found that the F=body brackets had an offset bolt pattern.

He sells both versions, offset and not, you get to pick which year/style. I thin 82’ isn’t offset and a one year only pattern for the 3rd gen.

I should of read this thread before my install. I altered the new brackets to work, the washer thing would of been a better idea to space it off the frame.

In case this sticks, I have a follow-on question.

Rear sway bars.

Was there more than one diameter offered from the factory?
