This was the first thread I started reading to catch up after being away again.... Usually its awesome stuff like the views from your bike ride, the steaks on the grill... hearing about the shop coming together...

Now this tidbit.

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife. MY experience, both formerly professional and sadly later personal is that ERs arent the greatest at examining and diagnosing accident trauma as soft tissue, disks, etc go. I hope and wish she is just very sore for now and is quickly back to normal (you listening Santa? Help out!!!) But if she hasnt already, its worth getting on the waiting list to a good orthopedic practice - it sometimes takes a couple weeks to get an opening. Someone else reading an MRI, or a second set of x-rays (sometimes small fractures take a couple days to present themselves according to former clients histories) can get treatment headed in a better direction sooner than later.

Wishing you a merrier christmas season than this took a turn for recently, and all the luck to your wife who hopefully is fine. sorry if the message sounded like giving unwanted advice too, just too much personal and professional experience with those events....
All very much appreciated. She's got an orthopedic appointment tomorrow morning.

She needs a 78 Olds 98 Regency for her safety. I threatened my niece with one of those for years. A steel cacoon.....

Sorry to hear this....I hate unprotected left turns, too many inattentive drivers on the road these days.

Hoping for a quick and full recovery.

No need for any updates, I'm sure you guys have your hands full and likely the docs ordered some other test or another.

Just let/remind the Missus know there's a bunch of us here keeping her in our respective thoughts and prayers and hoping all went the best possible on her appointment the other day. Sometimes a little emotional support counts as much as pain meds.

Somehow I managed to miss the news about the accident, sorry to hear about that. I hope your wife recovers quickly.

Would you be interested in replacing that Venza with a 90s Ford pickup? I may have posted about it before...

hoping the wife's stiffness and soreness is all it turns out being. at least you had the right idea of having her looked at outside the ER.

Replacement has landed. 1260 mile round trip to get it home. This one is a couple years newer, completely loaded, and has a few miles less than the wrecked one. One previous owner and in incredible shape for it's age.

bought my wife the Camry just so I didn't have another rig to wrench on. As long as it starts and drives every damn time she is happy. I got the V6 to make it acceptably fun when I have to drive it LOL

Hopefully she is feeling better. The heated seats will comfort the bottom LOL
