Maybe this guy perfected his ink stamps already and purposely listed it as a Chevy part and with the Olds part number just to make someone think they were getting something rare by accident.
Lets see old hose that looks and feels like new and you find it strange that there is no inner spring like it should have and has a yellow stripe that it shouldn't have. Hmmm. ;)
Hahah. Fugger knows how to make repros but no idea what they fit. :)

It's that sometimes you run across these things and the guy had it sitting in a doorless lean-to on a wooden shelf with chicken poop all over it for the last 25 years...it may still be NOS, but it's still been weathered and dried out. This one had to be stashed inside somewhere. It's got that friggin' release chalk all over it and some sort of date code I've yet to figure out how to decipher. Plus it's thicker than the hoses you get nowadays. The ones I have stashed in my office storage bin still look and feel brandy new, at least they did last time I drug them out and checked on them. Although I didn't check all of them for a spring. The one I used on the 84 H/O did have a spring already in it...

Are you running full single exhaust?
Presently I have a 3.5' downpipe that exits next the transmission. It doesn't bother me except after about 45min - 1hr of driving. I'm hoping to add something that can be easily removed and reinstalled in minutes with a cordless impact.

Before I ordered my Holley 3" kit, had a guy local quote me a Y to a single 4". Unfortunately at the time I couldn't fab my own and the Holley kit was too cheap to pass up.
later when i do the turbo I might just split it to the Holley 3" but i would still love to do a single 4" like this.
