LoL.... That image looks eerily similar to mine from today. I sold the 5.3 I picked-up over the end of year holidays. My buddy is going to swap it into my old '90 OBS GMC. I loaded it up to the bed of my dually this afternoon & delivered it.
I had to drive a few hours, but it was worth it. Able to snag an LQ4 with fair mileage, all accessories, complete harness and ecu and some other spare parts for a decent price. When I first saw it... I thought, that's not gonna fit .. what have I done... But once I get her cleaned up and stripped down I'll feel better and not so in over my head, I hope.

It came today! Likely the last lower NOS G-body Olds V8 rad hose for sale in existence. Stumbled on it because it was listed as a Chevy part and listed under the original p/n. The catalog p/n is one number different, 557966. The original stamping number is 557965. On those hoses, the original 965 number was present, but then they simply added a 966 number near by in yellow ink. I've got a handful of those around somewhere, if I can dig them out I'll take a picture of that. Very strange. It's nice and pliable, and no deteriation noted anywhere, it still smells like rubber and nothing else. It's acting like a new hose. I know everyone says not to use old rubber bits, but it's not like this is going to see a 500 mile trip anywhere.

Ironically, it did NOT come with the inner spring. Strange, all the NOS lower hoses I've ever bought have springs and none of them have the yellow stripe. The springs were included when buying GM hoses over the counter, that's likely the reason they didn't have a separate p/n for the spring itself. Not a big deal. I got some aftermarket stainless jobbies around here somewhere.

As far as I can tell, there are 3 different ink stampings with the foot for these hoses. Again, it probably depended on what year it was produced. They probably reinvented the wheel every time they did a run of these.

Maybe this guy perfected his ink stamps already and purposely listed it as a Chevy part and with the Olds part number just to make someone think they were getting something rare by accident.
Lets see old hose that looks and feels like new and you find it strange that there is no inner spring like it should have and has a yellow stripe that it shouldn't have. Hmmm. 🤔 😉
