I received another wheel for testing....

Seems what I really want is cost prohibitive for the cars use so I've been trying to find cheaper alternatives w/o success. Either they're not available w/no timeline offered or what I can get has a serious weight penalty for it. I used to run 15" Vette/MC Ralley's on my previous G-body Malibu's/El Camino's because they looked decent, had multiple widths, & were budget friendly. I decided to try some updated 'Ralley's' when I can across these in decent size/BS dimensions & price. Seems they'll clear the C6 caliper/Z51 rotor just fine. They're also as cheap as new steel wheels but lighter.

The primary focus of the build is better braking & suspension geometry w/o a current pro-touring appearance (spoked/mesh wheels; Weld SR71 similar; etc). I haven't been a fan of these larger diameter Ralley wheels but my options are limited when desiring a basic/stock appearance that will clear the large diameter brakes. I'll carry the wheel over & pop it in the wheel well this weekend to get an idea on clearances & looks. Maybe they'll look better in person.

No room for a post lift, found this on C/List. 7k rated, used 5 times.
Not cheap, but nowhere close to retail either.

Report back on my opinion of it after a while. Curious about the pros and cons.

I'll stick with jackstands. those are really only good for axle and wheel work or raising the car up if you're tall, so you don't bend over as far. The guy with the T/A I'm wiring has them. They block the entire side of the car between the wheels underneath, so no trans or exhaust work, unless you're into spelunking.

Costco has a sale on em new right now for a grand, but, I've found some good quality jack stands gets you more clearance in the air.

Great for wheel rotation, but not so great for a trans change and I doubt they'd lift high enough on a truck to get a tcase or anything out..
