That is part of circuit number 2 if you take the wire harness apart it will have a crimp and solder splice with a 12Ga wire going to the Blower motor relay, another going to the firewall connector to inside the car and another going to the battery cable on the starter and that one to the threaded post on the back of the alternator.

Circuit number 2 has another fuseable link that goes from the battery cable at the starter to the firewall connector.
Thank you, I tried looking at the wire diagrams on Malibu racing but my brain doesn’t work like that. This really helps.

So my alternator crapped the bed. I put a new one in and it’s only charging at 12.3v. When I shut it off it goes down to 11v. Is that from the battery getting drained from the bad alternator? Should it charge higher than that even with a bad battery or low battery?

That’s pretty cool. Do you have one for the dash lights? My dummy lights are the only thing that works on my dash.
Try these combined they cover the needle gauges, and, lights. I *think* maybe its what youre asking after?

What I like about the dealership docs is they list the pieces of the car as reference points, not just colored wire paths.

Some of them it looks like it was getting dark down the shop overflow building. Lights bulb was out 15 ft in the air, not easy to change on the fly.

Yeah, I’ve only had it a month and it’s an optima red top. I remember when these batteries were bulletproof!
Do a test before calling the battery out.

Not that Optima doesn't suck now haha.

So check first, because in fact a shitty alternator you can disconnect the cables while it's running and it will quit.

But if it's the battery, pulling that hard of a drop on your charging circuit, once you disconnnect it from your alternator it technically should start generating current man 😎💪💪💪

I appreciate these. If it warms up a little bit I’m going to work on it today.

So if I disconnect the negative cable it should die if it’s a bad alternator? Technically
