MERRR---RRRRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Up here on the lakes the the Irving Berlin song "White Christmas", has had its title changed to "Green Christmas" with appropriate changes to the lyrics; (still working on them, lol)

Church service last night was pretty close to full. Good to see. This time of year it mostly depends on how cold it is outside and how many layers of clothes you have to apply to the grand-urchins to be able to take them places. Felt good, just exactly the degree of warm and fuzzy that it ought to be. Kids all over the place, adults happy and mellow; need to find a way to bottle it and preserve the vibe.

Spent the rest of the evening with the neighbors; they host a small dinner party each year. Baked Ham and Perogies and whipped potatoes and veggies, Home made apple pie for desert. And a major nap attack for the post prandial treat!

Today? Well just finished the preliminaries for supper, which will be a baked/steamed turkey breast along with baked potato stuffed with mushrooms and coarse chopped red onion. Desert?? Not sure. There is Chocolate AngelFood Cake, micro-serving apple pie, j* oranges, short bread cookies and a few other goodies to consider. Plus another major, post-turkey nap attack.

Tomorrow?? Dunno. Wait for it and see what happens. Blew up one of my Dremel motors on the 23rd while trimming and fitting a section of fender metal. That makes two. Think the slide switch might be the culprit. The third one is howling like a dog so the requiem for it might be pending too. AH WELL, 'tis Christmas and who knows what I might find under the tree.

"AND I HEARD HIM DECLARE, 'ERE HE RODE OUT OF SIGHT, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT (DAY, MORNING, NOON, WHATEVER.)

I've had both. Is there a difference? Meanwhile we are getting fat on Kolaczki. My doctor complains about my yearly weight gain. He doesn't understand what Hunky Christmas cooking is all about...................................................................................................................................

Merry Christmas guys ! Hope everyone has a great day with family or friends.
Its been a strange holiday season this year. I was tied up with the contractor thats been working on our house for 5 weeks. He started a month later than he was supposed to. Kinda screwed up a lot of plans. That being said, my wife did 100% of the gift shopping. We just picked up a tree a few days ago. Spent the day yesterday with my son and daughter in law and her family. It was a great time. Today my son and daughter in law will be over here.

Tomorrow AM I'll be on the phone with a urologist. It never fails. The kidney stone that started all the heart crap last year decided to escape my kidney and its in the ureter. The CT said its 9MM x 12MM. The doc said hes going to try to laser it. Im supposed to be admitted on Wednesday but since this all came to light on Friday afternoon I might have to go through the ER just to get all the pre op stuff done. Not looking forward to this crap but its gotta come out. Never catch a break. LOL guess its better to end a year like this than to start a new one with health issues. SMDH. HO HO HO ????

Mich,
I'm sorry to hear what you've been going thru lately. I hope they're able to blast that kidney stone without using invasive procedures.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Wow Mark!
Those look absolutely delicious. They remind me of Rugelach, which my dad was a master at baking. I could understand the weight gain concern. :giggle:

Mikester I am glad you are dealing with it correctly. I have a friend that came to me with bloody urine and a pain in his side. After getting him to Urgent Care they found he had a very bad UTI. They gave him some powerful antibiotics but after a couple of days he stopped taking them. He also cancelled the follow up appointment. "Some men, you just can't reach".

I wish there was an easy way to to it Jack but its too large for a standard lithotripsy. This things been in my kidney for a few years. The doc said if they blasted it when they first found it the amount of small pieces would have raised hell with my kidney. This past January the smaller one put me in the hospital. They went up through my bladder and broke that one up. The doc said I shouldnt worry about the big one since it was so low in the kidney gravity would prevent it from coming up to the ureter. A one in a million chance. Guess Im lucky ??? UGH. I really liked that doc. Hes on vacation along with his partner. Not coming back until after the holidays. So Im going to a totally different hospital. Met the doc for the first time Friday. I wasnt a fan but my sons been in the OR with the guy and says hes great. Hopefully hes right. This will be considered invasive though. At least an hour under if not a little more.
