Thank you my friend. I like the pic with your son sticking out of your Malibu . Plus I think you have a cool looking Malibu. (y)
Thanks, I appreciate it. I like the look of your wagon as well, especially those bumpers. Since yours is more finished than mine, you got my vote.

Congratulations Jack!
Your wagon looks awesome and I’m glad to see it grace the home page here anytime.
Thank you D.
I appreciate your compliments, especially from someone's work I admire enormously. :)

You can't do one without the other.
Jack, I remember the thread about cutting the rear bumper. Did you also do a thread for the front? How did you get it re-chromed? We used to have a few chromers here but I don't think there are any left.

Mark,
I never did a thread on modifying the front bumper. Even when I did the rear, it was vague. I didn't get into detail.
Ah, so you think I had the bumpers re-chromed. It's paint believe it or not. Also used a 2K urethane to paint the bumpers. I used a Chrysler color that was used on trucks with a two-toned paint scheme. The color is a kind of platinum with a touch of gold in it. I figured it would go nicely with the color of the car, Cool Vanilla, another MOPAR color. Chroming the bumpers would have been cost prohibitive. That's why guys usually paint the bumpers body color. I wanted to achieve some contrast.
Speaking of chromers. There was, or still is a chromer in Queens. Hygrade. I had some parts of my Porsche re-chromed, window frames, etc, and I was very disappointed with their work. I think they were in long Island City, if I recall correctly.

Thank you for you compliments, Chris.
I appreciate it. I tried to keep the theme a bit of old school and a touch of contemporary, if that makes any sense. o_O

You had me fooled. Nope, most of the chromers are gone. I see one in Mineola, Yonkers, Jersey, nothing in Shitty City anymore. I will probably be needing one when I pull my Firebird bumpers down from the rafters.
