I am in need of OER fusible link 1986 cutlass (G-Body). The only place that I found that "offered" it is Classic Industries.
It is listed in paper catalog, not on website. After phone conversation He would order it, but not sure that they would be successful in getting it.

You dont need to purchase an expensive ready made link. You can do it yourself if you have basic skills.
Fusible link wire is two AWG sizes down from the wire its meant to protect. For 12AWG you would need to buy a length of 16AWG link wire. I remade the links on both of my cars.
You need to measure the length of the wire from the end of the OEM plastic barrel to the ring terminal. The length is important. I used crimp butt connectors with the built in shrink tube ends. After I crimped them and heated the shrink tube ends I covered both with marine grade shrink tubing that has the adhesive inside to make them as water proof as I could. I also used that on the crimped ring terminal.
This is what it looked like the first time I made a set. I wound up redoing it a second time due to a change of plans. Instead of using 10AWG (blue link wire) I switched to the original 12AWG (black link wire) but I didnt take another picture.

Years ago I bought a roll of 16 GA fusible link at NAPA that I use to replace them. Dorman also had ready to links with a ring & butt terminals already crimped on.
