I thought I had posted this Sunday, but it seems I did not. Anyway...
I found a box in my parts stash that hasn't been accounted for... i.e. cataloged on my Excel spreadsheet. It's one of those things where you say "Oh yeah, I remember getting that but forgot I had it." kinda things. In the box were several items that aren't just hard to find out in the wild, they probably haven't been seen in YEARS.
First up...anyone have a guess as what this is?
If you said "Sure, that's a lower windshield seal that fits virtually all Oldsmobiles in the 80s" then you would be right. Many times, this piece cannot be located and thusly, windshield shops don't even bother with this piece. Interestingly, these are still all soft and spongy still.
Next up- when was the last time you saw one of these for an 85 VIN 9? We generally call it a chip. GM calls them calibrators. FCH is for 1985 VIN 9 w/Federal emissions.
And here's another interesting piece you hardly ever see. Radio delte plate GM p/n 25528560.
Years 86-88. You can use it to block out the radio hole if you don't care for that, or cut it to whatever size you need for a custom radio setup.
