I've been chuckling about that since I read it earlier too!Sorry. Can't top "doing it in the can".
This was a shock.
Ive been using SEM Euro Black Trim Paint in an aerosol for painting small parts like nuts and bolts. I found it to be a close match to Hot Rod black. I went to buy another can the other day and I found out it was discontinued. When I called the tech support line to find out if anything took its place I told the guy that I told a lot of people about their free color matching service. He went on to tell me that the woman that did it wasnt with the company anymore. Needless to say I was surprised.
Turns out SEM was bought out by PPG. They no longer do color matching in house and Anne's position was eliminated. I was also told not many customers are happy with that decision.
Another small business gobbled up by an empire. I wonder how long SEM will remain a quality product.
This is tough. I just purchased a nice claret kick panel on ebay so I could send to get color matched🤬🤬. The burgundy for SEM just isn't close at all. Back to drawing board.
kirbans paint matches perfect
What about gbodyparts, or maybe check with Mike's Montes or Dixie resto. They might have a match for less $$Nevermind, I was on a different website. But damn $34 for 1 can with shipping??!
Rather make my own judgement and $34 for a crapshoot isn't for me. I heard the SEM burgundy was a close match too but that only cost me $13 to find out it wasn't.You want it to match, or not?
I've used the SEM burgundy and it was a good match to the door panels, etc. I wasn't disappointed.Rather make my own judgement and $34 for a crapshoot isn't for me. I heard the SEM burgundy was a close match too but that only cost me $13 to find out it wasn't.
