Got to get the plug wires situated, after doing the first side got the other side done really quick. I am happy with the setup, glanced at the mirrors to see if I could get the glass to pop out to investigate changing over to the motors I have in Fiero mirrors before doing the door pins. After measuring my buddy thinks we can use the Endurapins that I got for the Blazer to work on the Monte. But would like to get the power mirrors in and possible install a new door popper/push button start before doing the pins to get as much life out of them as I can

Made some progress the last couple evenings. Have the brake lines pretty much mocked up, just waiting on a couple adapter fittings to ensure fitment before pulling stuff apart to paint and such. I prolly made this more complicated than needed, but that seems to be my MO.

Woke the Regal from it's several week hibernation due to the aforementioned brake issues with the k1500. After two years of almost exclusively highway miles, i forgot how good this car drives around town. Way better than the k1500 with rotten worn out shocks, leaf springs about ready to fall out, and a plow. Actually stops too. Discovered driver rear tire has a leak. The people that redid the roof on my garage shortly before we moved into the new house graciously left hundreds of small shingle nails all over the driveway, but i dont see any in the tire. I think it may be the tire that had a plug put in it years ago and now that it's nearly bald it's leaking. Oh well, new tires were on the horizon anyway.

Still getting used to the buckets tho. Sits me up a lot higher, and no place for my arms. :( Thinking about a cutlass console with the raised arm rest.

I hope you're not using a jackstand on just the soft ground...?

Got the front drop springs, upper ball joints all installed. Bought one of the less expensive plate steel frame braces that goes between the frame and swaybar mounts. Knew it wasn’t going to be as good as some of the other frame braces, but…had an idea on improving the design. Adding a 1” angle across the width with a little welding and problem solved. Left he ends open for any water problems. Would have thought the manufacturer would have done that.

So with the front suspension done , I’m pretty sure the front wheel studs or complete rotors were done at some point before I got the car. Looking on line at the parts store they show similar wheel studs. If I remember correctly (very iffy) the front and the back are actually the same length/studs. Not two completely different ones. They should be the same as the rear that’s pictured
