BUILD THREAD RealDealRegal Small tire Drag build

Looks like progress. I'm using a similar spindle from TRZ. Be advised, they will lower the car a fair amount.

Keep the updates coming. Despite my lack of responses, I'm watching everything you're posting!

I got the stock height spindles. I was told by multiple people not to run drop spindles. It makes the car just too low. 2025 is going to be a good year! Im getting so pumped! Have a great New Years!

I got the stock height spindles.
A member here supplied me with uppers and 1.5" drop spindles. I'm using the factory lower and it's low. I spoke to TRZ this past week about purchasing the lowers. Their site says that installing the lowers, by themselves, will drop the front farther which I don't want. So I'm going to stick with the stock lowers and work hard over the winter getting the bump steer set much better than I have it now. I should mention that I'm happy with my front ride height presently.

Good luck and keep the faith!

Jim

I have begun to turn away side work as I have the ITCH to get back on the build. Updates soon. Hope your getting that bump steer dialed in? Ill be interested what mine will be like once I get the rack and front end together.

Quick post. Making some progress and a GIANT MESS getting the front end put together on this frame. What a task!

Last Few days After work I've just been cleaning and doing a little reset on the tools and mess/metal shavings everywhere. I RE- DID my frame notch and went is far in as I was comfortable with and welding on top and bottom. I was able to get the front upper coil over mount brackets in. And cut the upper spring purches out with a 5in!!! Hole saw haha. It Was very hard to hold steady just low and slow. Eventually I got it through. My tig welding is starting to take little more shape and color. I'm getting the hang of pulsing the pedal and keeping the torch and the filler steady and just push that puddle along. The K member is bolted on the frame. I am going to trace the frame horns (what's left of them) on the back side of the plate. Take the K member off and cut the plate to fit the frame end caps. I also want to grind and clean up any thing left from the engine crossover support.

Insanity, I love it!

Now this is my kinda build! This is kinda the direction I'm going with my 78 malibu wagon. Frame off just like your and torque box setup but alot slower. Great work man.
Thank you. Still learning as I'm going here. I would look into Merilat Boxes. Its way to early for me to say anything about the Team Z boxes but EVERYONE uses the Merilat ones. And I've yet to really talk to anyone that has Team Z upper and lower. They seem to work just fine with my solid heim TRZ control arms so far I have no complaints.

Currently using an upper and lower setup from performance fab myself and the owner matt has been nothing but 100% a great help and easy to get ahold of
