What all is invovled when removing the AC box from the firewall? Are all the mounting bolts in the engine compartment? its a 78 cutlass.

I have a 78 cutlass, will 275/60/15s on 7" rims work? They did notch the framerails & stuffed 22s on it at one time if that helps. They have a 4" BS.

Any tricks/tips to get rid of it?

What is your set-up, I'm getting away with 91 octane in my 406, the timings at 35*, the compression is 10.4 with iron eagles, my Dynamic #s are like 8.0s with the cam i'm running.

How were you mixing it? Did it work with no ill effects?

What all is involved other then the ring/pinion/bearings? Does the carrier need shimming from side/side with different pinion sizes? I've never done it before, I'm wanting to go from my 4.11s to 3.42s.

I still have the original carpet also, its a bit heavy with the insulation padding, But when i got this car it was smaller & easier to push then my 71-73 darts, & they had sub frames, not full frames, I heard stories about 34-3500 lbs. & thought no way can this car be that heavy, maybe 32-3300...

I was a bit surprised also, but i figured around 3200 without me, It has to be because it has no power windows & its not a brougham.

Its a 78, came in at 3057 without me, its a 406, other then no AC compressor/condensor, it has all its metal & glass, full interior, just replaced the bench with a pair of racing seats, it has PS & PBs, manual windows.

What brand of headers will fit my 78 cutlass with a 406 & iron eagle angle plugs, needing part #s, I heard the hedmans fit good, there was also another brand as well but forgot the name, both were around the 175.00 mark.

So just for the houseing it isn't worth 150.00, even if its been narrowed down with that the brackets welded up?

I have a chance to buy a 9" rearend houseing thats been converted for a G body, its 1" longer on each side, they want 150.00 for it, is this a good price?

If it runs good & is rust free i'd grab it for that price, it looks clean.

How much for the door panels?

No, It isn't up & running yet, just hopeing it'll be everything i'm hopeing for & then some :mrgreen:
