    Idiots On Top Gear USA....

I remember the Stig racing the Robin around the track and rolling it heading into turn 1. The Bolivia and New Orleans specials are still my favorites. Their trip through Alabama was hilarious.

    edelbrock cam and lifters

I'm gonna take a stab at this and guess you're talking about variable valve timing. No, a SBC does not have that. A small block chevy is easy to work on, and this job can be done with standard hand tools and a pulley puller for the harmonic balancer. Take your time and watch some how-to...

I Cant Burn Rubber!! WTF!! Posi 3.08's

Some 4.10's would do wonders. With those 22's your gearing would probably be in the neighborhood of a car with 3.73's and a relatively mild wheel and tire combo.

    F150 Flare Side

I've never been a big fan of dropped pre-97 F150s. Now the Lightning looked great, but that was about it for that generation of trucks. Now the late 90's flareside f150s are another story. They look great with a drop, and they also ride much better than the old I-beam setup, in my opinion.

    Race Cars

Oh no, that's when they look their best, when you can see all the good stuff. Certainly makes you respect all the time and effort taken to build it.

Judging by that first picture, this vehicle is equipped with a heavy duty towing package.

How do you know if your carb is too small ?

Open the hood and have a woman take a look at it. If she looks down, points and laughs- and you hear "Awww, it's so cute!", then that would be a good indication that your "carb" is too small. Okay, now that I got that out of my system- Are you running a 1406 with electric choke? This is...

    tunnel ram street use

Hahaha, this reminds me of a friend from high school. He ran a huge tunnel ram with 2 750 holleys on a otherwise stock 350. He wanted something to stick out of the hood so he'd look cool. Well, he took me for a ride in the car that turned out to be a really short ride when the engine...

Need help getting into the 13s

Looks like you already have most of the parts for a solid 305 build. What that motor needs now is a set of heads. You have a couple decent choices for 305 heads. The route I took on my car was a set of 305 vortec heads that I picked up really cheap on ebay. If I remember correctly you are...

    Monte Carlo question

GM was very lazy, and I figure it was a simple way for them to bring back a popular nameplate and increase sales, even if it was a Lumina. I think the monte even kept the Lumina's Z34 designation for the first few years to top it off.

    Monte Carlo question

Grand National was Buick's performance label, and was also applied briefly to the LeSabre, so yes a GN is a regal.

    Monte Carlo question

When the Monte Carlo came back, the 2 door Lumina was dropped and Monte Carlo badges were tacked on. It was a Monte in name only.

    Monte Carlo question

What about the mid 90's Lumina/Monte Carlo? Although the Monte never had four doors, the nameplate was resurrected from the lumina.

Bi+C# Thread for the nit-picky old men

The lack of use of capital letters and periods. Is it really that difficult to hit the shift key at the start of a sentence? How about throw in a period every once in a while to keep the paragraph from turning into a stream of consciousness? It's lazy and disrespectful to start a thread...
