    i understand the difference between ported and manifold. i was wondering if there was a performance benefit or something to connecting it one way or the other. i guess what i want to know is why one person will tell you one thing and the next person you talk to will tell you something else.

    Solder or crimp??

    gm soldered alot of their connections. all of their splices are soldered, as are some pins in exterior connectors(i think the headlight connectors). but as megaladon6 says, it helps if you can properly solder. otherwise you could cause more problems than its worth.
