I was hoping to get some input on upgrading from the stock halogen lamps to getting some that are brighter. I have already considered the hid option, but I want to keep the stock look. Anyone else have any recommendations ?

Anyone here know what model year jeeps steering shaft that are a correct fit for a '85 elco G body? I found a local jeep boneyard that has a bunch of various model year cherokees & grand cherokees? I can get a used steering shaft for cheap, but I'm not sure what years models are the correct?

An air leak between the suction side of the fuel pump & the fuel tank, is the most likely cause. Most likely a dried out deteriorated rubber line

3M made some stuff that came in a aresol can called Release Agent part# 08971. You would spray it in & let it set for awhile & it would soften up the weatherstrip adhesive making it easier to remove. Automotive paint supply stores typicall carry it.

Anyone know if the hood insulation for the '81-87 cutlass is interchangable with any other G Body....e.g, will the '79-87 el camino insulation fit the '81-87 cutlass hood?

I suppose if you ordered a cable for a '78 without cruise control, you would get a 1 piece cable. If not, the mid 80's cars would use the 1 piece cable you would need. You should'nt have to remove the instrument box to disconnect the cable. You should be able to get to it by removing the covers...

If you are wanting to eliminate the cruise control transducer & go directly to the speedo, You can use a cable for a '84-85 model year or later since the later models had electronic cruise control & no longer used the transducer. The speedo end of the cable looks similar to the transmission end...

If you stay with the SBC, then go vortec. Good bang for the buck.

As long as it was clamped to the pipe past (upstream) the orfice tube, then I would clamp it back in its original postition. Just dont clamp it to the pipe before the orfice tube

I beleive the sensing bulb is to sense evap temp, therefore it should be on the outlet

The G-Body rotors must be old stock because I dont see rotors for any G-Body listed in their catalog. They may have offered them at one time, but no longer make them. They only list pads & shoes for the G-Body....
