10 bolt 3 series posi unit. Will it fit?

Today I found a GM 7.5 10 BOLT AUBURN 28 SPLINE 3 SERIES POSI UNIT for cheap. I know I need 28 spine axles. My question is will it fit my rear no problem, I'm not really sure what gear ratio the car has now, but the engine was origanlly a 3.8. I also plan on buying 373 gears if it all works out. This car is on street tires and will never see any track time.

It can't be a 7.5 if it has 28 spline side gears...it'd have to be a 7 5/8 or an 8.5 to have 28 spline side gears

The add said 7.5, I think it came out of a 90s camero

Itll work , I have one in my elcamino with 28 spline G/N axles.

Another guy tells me I might need C clip elimintors, is this true? What is the purpose of this?

Weather its a 7.5 or a 7 5/8 it will bolt in your 7.5 rear housing. If its 26 spline axles then you don`t need axles, If its 28 spline axles then you need 28 spline axles.

there never was a 7.5 that had 28 spline axles...I'm not saying it won't work but the guy should know what he is selling. For all you know it may be an 8.5 which wouldn't work in a 7.5 housing
