Those wheels look great on there!
Thanks. The 70 definitely needs the 225/70R14 in those wide wheel wells. I wish Olds would have gone to a 15" on the 1987/88 cars these rims came factory on.

Haven't updated much lately. Went back to manifolds and 2" od dual exhaust into the 2.5" tail pipes. Also putting back on the Performer intake with a 1" open aluminum spacer matched to the Qjet. Intake gaskets are leaking and I need to find the stuck lifter. Also test fit and bought these off the neighbour. 14x7 and 15x10.

For now I am leaving them black and using the 26×10.5-15 MT ET Bias ply DOT slicks and 205/75R14 blackwall tires. I will step up to 275/60R15's to fill these huge wheel wells.

I checked the timing was around 14 degrees at idle bumped it to 20. It ran better but then I remember I left the vacuum advance unplugged and blocked off. I open the hood to a tiny fire! The coil wire popped off and was arcing and caught the boot on fire! I got it out and went home, almost there. It was even more responsive with it hooked up. I taped on the coil wire, yikes!

I decided to do a compression test on the 350. Of course I had to buy a new one, the thieves stole it during the break in. Last time with the 55cc heads and the 204/214 cam 9.6 to 1 compression, 160 to 175. Tonight, 1-150, 3-150, 5-145, 7-110, well crap, number 7. 2-150, 4-155, 6-155, 8-110, WTF #8! I added oil to #8, 150. I added oil to #7 and 130. A bit disappointed at 7 and 8. It is a 9 to 1 Olds 350 with a 214/214 cam degreed in. It is a 43 year old bottom end, brand "C" wouldn't be near as good. I will get a hold of some more Keenflo combustion chamber cleaner. I gained 20 to 30 psi on my last Olds 350 by soaking the cylinders overnight.

No I put some of the similar Motormaster Seafoam stuff in those holes last night. I also use the STP in the similar can. Seafoam did squat on my last 350. It is stinky stuff, dissolves carbon and crud if it has sit time. I believe it is a Canadian company. I believe it is toxic stuff and therefore hard to find now.

Do you fog it through the intake? Inline engines are pretty easy to soak pistons/rings, V engines not so much.
Seafoam works. Plus, neighbors love the smoke show.
