Looking good truracer20. I like the wheel set up. Glad I can check out your ride now.

Looks great .love this build.. keep up the good work

Thanks guys.

A while back I installed a Jegs dual exhaust and found out that it doesn't clear the passenger side crossmember hump. At that time I realized that is the reason the Jegster crossmember humps are so close together compared to G Force crossmembers. So I broke down and ordered the jegster crossmember. I haven't had a chance to install it yet though.
I have read that some people believe the headers Jegs recommends have a different collector location but I don't think that's the case. I really think its because their exhaust kits angle toward the driveshaft tunnel too soon.

I'm looking forward to some nice weather and have been thinking of things to do to the Cutlass. Right now I am looking for a good pair of 78 tail light assemblies. If anyone has a set they are getting rid of contact me.

Nice ride man and good clean progress. What are some of the plans?

Short term I want to get some 78 tail lights for it, I've always liked the Rocket in the center. I have a Jegs crossmember to install. A good rear bumper is on the list as this one has some scrapes and a little rust. I would love to find a pair of bucket seats and center console for it sometime soon. Another item I need to address is the open differential and 2.73 gears.
I also want to find a good frame to clean up and rebuild. Mine isn't bad but if I had another I could work on it and still be cruising in the car. I've swapped frames in the past and it's an easy weekend job.
But the main part is to drive and enjoy it. I spent all last summer throwing money at it, about $4500...Wheels, tires, engine, radiator, exhaust etc.

Got a new part for the Cutlass today,

Fellow forum member 06 dodge cr had this for sale and delivered it today. Needs a couple body mount holes repaired but it's a solid frame, ready to be cleaned and painted. It will get some new steering parts as well as new suspension bushings, shocks, brake lines and fuel lines. I think I am going to notch the rear frame while it's completely accessible. I'm also considering coil over shocks for the rear so I am going to add bracing for that as well.

My current frame isn't too bad, I did find a bad spot behind the left rear tire last year and it looks like crap. Add in the fact that it does need body bushings and I decided I would go this route. I can still drive the car while the biggest part of the job is happening, then I should be able to swap the chassis pretty easy. I don't know when I'll actually get to the chassis swap part though.

Nice! Thats my exact next step! Your lucky you get a whole rolling frame. My frame is not so nice lol. Im going to sugest a good rust preventor called kbs coatings. Ive used it on my 75 nova and hopefully on my new frame for my cutlass.
