What trans are you running behind it? Consider buying a set of the Yukon spider gears, the factory open spider gears are soft and explode. I had it happen to my 88 with a mild Olds 403 and took out the pinion and blew a hole in my girdle cover. I have seen other 7.5" spiders quite worn on old V6 powered vehicles. Good luck and it will be a handful.
 
Been a while! but ive been busy lately pulling the 307 its time to start preparing for the 455 install

Turna , do you have a particular upgrade in mind? I plan on replacing it anyway cause the old one leaks and I’m still working on going from the old flare style power steering pump lines to the 80 Pringle’s design . My plan was to just buy the conversion fittings from summit . I’m open to suggestions

So to clarify I will need a new pitman arm with the lares 1353 ?if so does rock auto carry that as well ? I’ll check it all out when I get home . Thanks for the info

That model should fit the 80 style power steering hoses
