It's giving me a code 12

12 is the diagnostic mode code. Does it just flash 12 over and over, or does it do it 3 times then another code?

Over and over 12 that's it. I sat there for a while trying to see if it would flash anything else

Then the computer sees nothing wrong, as rudimentary as the ccc system is.

Have you checked the ignition module? It is located under the distributor cap. I had a 3.8 get weak spark one time and it wouldn’t run. Changed the module and it fired right off.

I bet it is the ignition module also. It doesn't take much to fry that thing.

I bet it is the ignition module also. It doesn't take much to fry that thing.

No it doesn’t and it’s across the board on most gm cars those modules can be finicky
