Thank you Rodney!
Is that a base/clear paint? I like it a lot. That color looks great on Porsches. 8)

Yes sir, it is base clear. But if you have a NASON supplier around they can mix it in single stage as well (even though its got so much metallic in it that i would be scared to use it as a single stage)

Yeah, I think metallic paints need a clearcoat for depth. It looks super on the bumpers...
I did my car in NASON single stage. I hope I won't regret it down the road. I kinda left the bumpers for last. Not sure how I want to do them yet.
You're an inspiration to all novice body men and painters. Keep up the great work. 😀

Thanks Jack!!

Alright, made some progress this weekend. Got the hood lip trimmed and the dzus rails fitted. Even though after some chatting with another member, I may end up moving them forward an inch or so to get the front fastener closer to the front corner of the hood. May mess with that tomorrow before work for a while. Anyhow, a few pictures:

It's gonna be better than the factory ever produced, that's for sure! Nice work.

I actually didnt make them. I got them from TRZ Motorsports. They sell the kit. Made by Racecraft. Very nice pieces.

I made a support for it tonight (still need to make an extension as I made it too short, was just winging it). It will have a rubber foot on the top that rests against an 1/8 inch aluminum plate that I plan to glass to the underside of the cowl in that area. Makes putting the hood on by myself much easier as well, as it does not overhand the edges of the fenders in the back.

Turned the extension today and pressed a piece of Type II PVC to the top of it. Also got the .125 alum plate attached to the hood with duraglass. Picking up my Dzus fasteners and springs tomorrow. And just waiting on my iceman radiator support to get here!

That will help getting it on and off for sure. It should help with some flopping around at speed too. Looks nice. 😀
