Next I put the posi in with the original 3.73, and checked clearances and everything is good. Replaced the axle bearings/seals,pinion seal.

Installed some new upper control arm bushings.. with the camaro rear disc I took apart the backing plates and cleaned all the brake components and painted them. Also cleaned the rear calipers and painted them.. added new rotors and filled the rear with oil.. so that’s all set..

I decided to try and rebuild the steering box. Found some good rebuild videos on YouTube.. rockauto had a rebuild kit for around $30. So why not, don’t know until you try..

It went pretty easy.. only because the vids were very detailed.. only thing is I didn’t take a picture after I painted it... it feels good but will see some day when the car is done..

On now to the control arms.. bought some new bushings,upper/lower ball joints and bump stops.. went to harbor freight and bought there ball joint tool and it worked pretty good for everything..

Ground up restorations at the time had 10% off UMI suspension.. seeing there few minutes away I bought there 2” drop springs and there shocks..

Bought a UMI front sway bar..
New rear upper/lower tubular control arms. Bought all new tie rod,centerlink, and idle arm.. modified the front spindles for bigger brakes..
