When I was trying to clean the frame I said to myself this isn't going to work. Going to take too longand probably not come out how I would like. So I was looking for prices to sandblast, dam there were places really expensive. I'm trying to keep the price of this build lowest as I can.. So I found a place and compared to the rest that I called it was very CHEAP..
So I loaded it up and brought down...

I always wanted to a frame off on a car. So I made wooden Dolly so I need to separate body from the frame.. Also couple of friends mention these frame prone to rot at the body mounts.. Which I found a total of 5..

what happened to the Nova?

I still have my 1969 nova. Year or so ago, I actually had another nova (72) that I was doing for her, which was a project, bought this monte and sold the nova...

Received the frame loaded it on the trailer and back to its home.. Frame was sandblasted, primed, painted black.. Came out much nicer than if I did it myself... Cost for all that was $250.00... Definitely worth the money and was really surprised when he gave me a quote before I brought down...

Next on the list was the rear end. Monte came with 3.73 non-posi, which is stupid. You would think that all Monte SS come factory posi rear.. Found a complete 3rd gen camaro posi rear near by. (Cheap) friend of mine recently bought a 91rs camaro so we split the cost I took the posi unit he wanted the housing. Removed the posi..

the rear did come with disc brakes.. I really did think about using them, but for what I want they would be too small. So I took the rear disc caliper mounts off and set them aside so maybe someone would buy them for cheap..lol

So I did buy a set of 4th gen 2000 camaro rear disc breaks off eBay. So I broke out the sawzaw and went to town cutting the axle flange, drilling the new holes. Mounted the camaro backing plates making sure everything fits.. Then I removed all the seals and axle bearings from the rear so I can clean it up..

So I then grab the front control arms and the rear and sent them off to be sandblasted. Threw them and my friends rear in the trunk of my car...
