I wouldn’t worry about making it accessible. I never had anybody look beyond what they could visibly see to certify my car.
That’s good to know, I wasn’t sure if they dug that deep or not. If that’s the case I’ll just weld them suckers up and seam seal it for good then.

Hey dude, best o luck. i bracket raced fer 8 years wif a 7.5". Only broke it twice:blam: runnin 7.60's in the 1/8th(one of which wasn't my fault). Couplea tips-28 spline aftermarket axles will be yer best friend as well as a carrier support girdle. #2-I see you have stiffer 4 link bars but are still in the stock locations. Best to either raise the uppers or lower the lowers to improve your instant center for planting at traction. I also had airbags in the right rear spring to counteract the ring gear climbing effect.
Thanks for the advice man, relocation brackets and a drag bag are on the list of eventual upgrades. Someone has rebuilt the rear at some point it has strange 28 spliners already. I will look in to a cover but I do plan on a 9 inch as soon as this one brakes so the sooner the better because then I’ll be forced to buy it and it will be easier to get it approved by the wife 😂.

I got the floors patched up around the cage this past weekend. I’m happy with the outcome, I still have to paint the under side of the patches maybe this weekend. It’s finally warming up here in NH a bit so I can start the body work which I’m dreading 😂. I’m just going to rough it in and prime it this year. I saw that New Oxford dragway in Maine might be taking test and tune “reservations” towards the end of May I will know more hopefully in a week or so when the owner gets it figured out.

I got a good start on the body work the past few weeks. I’ll post some pics up when I make some more progress. I really need the right rear lower quarter panel patch, but I can’t find one it looks like they all sold. It’s funny because 3 months ago they were everywhere for $60. The few I found were double that on eBay. So I patched mine up for now but will replace it before I paint it maybe next year. I took a little break to get some things done on my z28 so I can at least enjoy driving one of my hot rods this year.

I also found a set of ground fx for the Monte that come with the white body when I bought it. I thought they were Fox body or something as the guy I got it from had several circle track cars. It’s the full set I am contemplating putting them on there’s not to many montes around here and none of them have ground fx. So what do you all think? Is it gaudy or different I’m just not sure. I’m obviously going to prom them that color is terrible 😂

I put ground effects from Lauren Engineering on both of my cars, I did my Monte many years ago and I did my Regal a couple months ago.
I only like the stage 1 style ground effects that I have, the later stage 2 are bigger and have cut outs in them which I never liked.

That looks good! Thanks for the pics, I’m going to use them, it will save me some body work for the time being until I’m ready for a real paint job 😂
