Wow - so much going on I realized I never put up pictures of the finished engine! We got the car back right in the middle of moving, so life has been crazy! Today we finally got to go out with dad and drive the car. It's amazing how much power it has and how smoothly it drives. The modified 307 really puts out a lot of power. Dad's highlight of the day was us getting stopped and asked a lot of questions about the car, and people peeking under the hood. It's really nice to finally have it back!

I repainted some things in gold to match the engine. I think it looks better than it did before. Last picture you can see the exhaust, which sounds awesome. Its not over the top, but it has a nice throaty roar.

Looks good how does it run?

It runs amazing! I know everyone was anti-Edelbrock but there is a lot of power. For a 307 it has surprised me every time I hit the gas. We took out all the smog stuff, and yes the computer, Edelbrock Intake/carb, removed all AC stuff too, and Thornton high flow manifolds with Magnaflow exhaust. Nice and smooth, no hesitation, lots of power. Just a good clean running engine. One of these days I'll dyno it.

Great to hear this, everyone says putting the big port Performer intake will make performance worse. Obviously not the case. I would say your tuner new how to set up your carb, most Olds guys can't get them right no matter how hard they try. I would bet the torque numbers are very impressive. Glad your swirl port dog motor has some bite!

Nothing wrong with Edelbrock in my book big matched ports are the only way to make power the engine has to breath!!

The guys that built the motor have been doing this a long time. Part of the early stages of the project was them mapping everything out and making sure everything was matched and setup correctly. I wasn't looking for a racing engine or something high HP, just a nice running clean looking engine. So they built it to that. Its a 500cfm 4bbl carb and the thing runs really nice. Starts right up, idles down, and just purrs. It's got a lot of power. They took a good amount of time making sure everything was done right - I mean they painted every bolt, loomed every wire, and made sure it looked as good as it ran. They made sure they used the right gaskets (no cork) and stuff like that. The idea was this was a once in a lifetime thing, so we never want to have to pull the engine. I think they hit it out of the park.

Make sure to give them a like! Still, I haven't been to any shows yet, just driving it around and enjoying it. That's been more fun than parking and sitting around all day in the heat.

Took a break from the rain today and installed the G-Body parts.com dash gauge trim rings. Easy install, less than an hour to take the dash apart, put them in, and re-assemble. Looks great!

I seen these rings for the first time about a month ago.

They look good!

I like it they look really good. I've never seen them before

I really like the way it came out. Easy to install just used some silicone. Makes it look like aftermarket gauges. I've got a few other pieces to install I got months ago. Little bit at a time.
