Oh yes, it was a factory turbo engine. Plans in the future are a friend of mine is making a custom intake tube for it so i can run an intercooler and turn the boost up a bit. These engines ran 20:1 compression or higher so they didnt have as much boost as the Cummins or ford diesel engines do. So ill only be going up to 12 to 13 lbs of boost, i plan on putting a wicked wheel in the turbo to help it spool better. Trans will be a 700R4 as soon as i find a decent one at the pull a part for test fitting. Crossing my fingers for 30+ mpg once its all finished.

You are brave running a piece of junk 700R4.

simplicity mainly and cost not having to run an electronically controlled transmission.
I agree same reason I plan to build the 2004R, seriously considered a 4L80E. Zero mods to my 70S in place of the TH350. The 700R4 requires a shortened drive shaft. It might live not towing, the 3/4 clutch packs go no matter what is done. Also consider the 5 pinion planet upgrade from the 4L70E. Good luck, you will need it behind turbo diesel torque.

Body slowly going back on the frame. What a pain to get everything just right to get it back in there. Have to sort out body bolts before I raise it into it's new home.

Today I'm prepping the body for the frame, POR 15 the frame channel and anywhere i can't access once the frame is installed. Had some left over so I got the insides of the quarter panels, trunk floor, and rain channel around the trunk lid and back glass

Yesterday's progress, simple things, planning mostly for the interior. However I did get the tail lights out and pretend to be Donovan and make them look new. I gotta say I don't mean to brag but... Yeah no I suck at it. But they look a little better than they did. Also got the camaro stay down license plate holder painted
