I apologize for the thread hack....but cx racing sells some nice quality stuff! I have one of there dual 3" to single 4" y's and a universal intercooler piping kit that i custom made my cold air setup out of. Quality pieces and half the cost of having a custom intake built to spec....and i can say I MADE IT which for all of us guys i feel is a self pride thing!!!View attachment 52780View attachment 52781

That looks awesome dude! How much did that set you back?

Everything...y adapter, tubing, throttle body coupler, and carbon fiber tipped kn filters, right at $300. I designed it on paper first scaled to spec....took it to a local shop that specializes in stainless tig welding and they quoted me right at $600!!!!
I appreciate the compliments, it's always gratifying for me to design something, then see it come to life.

Thats awesome dude. I try to be the same way about my car. I want to build as much of it myself as I can. Im hoping to order me a ac/dc tig welder friday. Ive been saving up for it for a few weeks. Then I'm doing my exhaust so I can get it on the road. Keep it up dude!

Same to you man, i would love to learn to tig weld one day....i can do enough mig to get me in trouble but i love the cleanliness and look of tig welds. Btw, the turbo ls is looking like a beast i will keep posted.
I just wish my motor in the pics didn't die last year! Need a fresh rebuild, would love to go LS but can't get enough $$$ of my external stuff to make the swap worth it. Keep it up as well!!!

Alright Folks, ordered my tig welder friday, hopefully it will be here sometime this coming week. Got to get a tank of sheilding gas and then I'm going to order a universal exhaust kit from summit racing and get something fabbed up. Taking a short beach/visit trip this coming weekend so money will be tight until the week after lol. But just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still around haha.

Fellas, fellas, tig welder came in this past Wednesday, ordering sheidling gas this coming Friday. At the beach right now a few sheets to the wind but wanted to let yall know I haven't forgot lol. Trust that I'm just as pumped as yall to get this G rolling!

Been doing a little bit of research for exhaust and was looking at this kit from summit. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-680002/overview/ Its meant for a ford diesel truck, but I think with a few modifications I can make this work. Its 4in diameter turbo back exhaust. This will run from the front to the rear bumper of the car. I've seen this done on a few other cars around on a few different websites, good size piping for turbo applications.

Hey guys, I'm not dead. Just been working on my tig welding skills. Best money I have ever invested as far as tools and equipment go. Focusing on getting a few more things to help me create better welds then I plan on getting the exhaust I mentioned before.

Yes was goin to post it next week lol. Im ordering the exhaust "kit" Friday and a gas lense kit for the tig welder. The exhaust kit is one meant for a late 90s powers trike diesel. It was the biggest kit that I could find with most of the bends that I need already in it. All 4in pipe, turbo back style kit. I'll have to fab up the merge pipe for my headers since I'm still gonna run n/a for a few months just to find any kinks. Also need to get a muffler. Was looking at dynomax bullets I believe was the brand name. I have been super busy with work. I drive truck short haul local stuff, and been working in the shop for the boss fixing our trucks and trailers in the evenings lol. Plus I bought a 05' Pontiac gtp supercharged 😉 for the old lady. She needed something more reliable. Found one at a local dealership for 6k with 98,*** on the odometer. Boy is it fun lol. Keep checking on me fellas, I gotta few things up my sleeve.
