My champion rad also has one, not 100% sure if that is what it is for though.
Seems like it is worth a shot. I'm not drilling into my Meziere. I will go with the upper hose if that fitting on the rad doesn't work.

What rad are you running? The Griffin Ls swap rad I am looking at has a fitting near the top for a line from the steam vent. That is the direction I am going.

Right now I'm just going to be using my stock radiator just so I can get the car moving. Later when I do replace the radiator I was looking into the griffin LS swap ones and they look very nice. Not super exspensive either. Keep the ideas coming! Thanks!

Picked up this th400 this week, came with torque converter,a new 1350 yoke, flex plate and LS adapter all for 300 bucks. Dude I got it from was just trying to get rid of it and so far it checks out. Pulled the pan off today and everything is there and moves as it should. With a little luck, I will have the car moving on its own power this summer. Not many parts left that I need to get so everything can go together.

Alright guys been too long since I've done anything for the G. So I'm gonna be ordering a shifter tonight and some other odds and ends to get this trans in, and get the last things i need for startup.

Fellas, I've been working on my car all day and night since Friday evening and I've got the th400 in the car now fully. I ended up having to move my motor mounts back almost 1.5" so the trans mount would reach the cross member. In the process of doing this I gave myself extra room up front for fans and turbo piping, helped my weight transfer out some and lowered the engine even more. The turbo headers still clear the steering shaft just fine and the oil pain still has plenty room also. So all the good things I needed more of, I now have. The motor mounts were cut and rewelded with some added bracing to help support the weight more evenly. Not sure if the flex plate that I have is the correct one but I made it work with metal bushings between the flexplate and torque converter. I believe most LS to older trans adapter kits call for the dished. I have some stuff being shipped to me right now so I can finish the wiring and get this thing running soon. I have a few pics to post, I may have some more later on today.
