Alright guys, been doing alot of work to my shop for new lights and a 2 post lift. Got the lift and lights working and I've managed to get a few things done on the G. Ill have some pictures up tomorrow of what I've been working on. Mainly my dash and some other odds and ends. Thanks guys!

This past week i started converting my harness to a standalone system. I removed all the pins for the electronic transmissions also. I'm going to get some extra wiring accessories tomorrow and ill keep working on it. The pcm connectors are out of this picture but are right at the bottom right hand side. Haven't gotten too deep into the removal of wires as I have just made it to the first branches of the actual harness. I have all of the wires labeled that go into the fuse block to power up the pcm, fuel pump, tcc switch and VSS. I dont think i am going to need the tcc switch as i am going to have a non electric trans, but I need to check to be positive. I'm going to try and reuse as much of the wire loom i can to save on costs. The parts for the fuse block are listed on lt1swap.com's website. I believe its close to $50 after you add in shipping from each of the different sites listed. Lt1swap has very detailed steps with pictures and diagrams that are easily readable. If any of you guys that have done this before have any tips that you learned while doing your own conversions. Thanks!

Alright guys finally got some good progress on the cutdawg. Almost finished converting my stock 5.3L vortec harness to a standalone. Just need to build the fuse block and obdII. Going to be ordering a bunch more parts here in a couple days, planning on cranking this thing up very shortly. Thanks for following guys! And a huge Thanks to Lt1swap.com for all the harness info!

Alright guys. Here's where I'm at with my standalone harness I converted. Right now I am in the process of just tidying up some of the ends and making sure everything is going to like decent. I have my AC panel off of the firewall to cut a hole in the edge of it so i can put a firewall grommet in place. I'm going to be mounting the PCM right behind the glovebox. I want to mount my fuse block and relays on the inside of the glovebox to make repairs easier instead of having to lay upside down in the floor board lol. Hoping to have it ready to crank soon. Thanks guys

Alright, not much of an update just tending to some odds and ends that I need to get the engine started. Right now I'm looking for ideas for what to do about the steam port. I want to run it into the upper radiator hose, any opinions? Also made up a bracket for my PCM to sit in under the dash. Working on alot of things at once but I feel like I am getting alot done because the car looks different each day lol.

The upper radiator hose would work. Your supposed to run it to a high location.

What rad are you running? The Griffin Ls swap rad I am looking at has a fitting near the top for a line from the steam vent. That is the direction I am going.
