I'm finally tired enough of the lockup that I want to do something about it.. it lugs way to early and often.

Below is how my brake lockup is hooked up now, and it works fine. But I want to add a lighted switch, how does this schematic look? Like it would work?

Also, has anyone had any luck with using a vacuum switch?

I found this advice, but I'm unclear on how to wire it up..

Thats how I have mine wired up. I grounded the solenoid to the valve body that way I only need one wire running to the trans. But I also used a pressure switch on the 4th gear pressure port on the right side of the case. That way it only kicks in 4th gear. And its nice to shut it off when in town so it dont lug

Get this http://www.jegs.com/i/B-M/130/70244/100 ... tId=748070

Since I have no computer and Extreme Automatics set up my transmission with an electronic lockup I had to buy this to control the converter lockup. It works well.
