I in the middle of 250 turbo to 2004r swap. It seems like the shift linkage does not line up properly with the transmission.

do I need a different or modified bracket or maybe different linkage?

The driveshaft fit no problem.

Need more info....is this a console shift or column? If you are using a console shifter, you need the correct brackets on the trans to hold the cable and u need the correct shift selector on the trans so the cable will reach properly. Also, a 4speed shifter plate and mount is different than the three speed. If you are using column set up, you may need a 4sp column, IDK about that for sure. Maybe someone else will chime in about this.

I'm guessing from your avatar pic that it's column shift. You may have to swap the shift bracket on the side of your TH250 to your 200-4R. There are "centered" and "offset" styles. If they're already the same you should be fine. The column shifter should work but your indicator might not line up right (extra gear and all 🙂 ). Mine worked ok when I did the 200 -> 200-4R swap. TH250 should be similar. You may have to move the adjustment on the rod by loosening the jam bolt. Put the trans and column in P and set them there to start. Fine tune as necessary.

Yes it is a column shift. I gave the old engine and Trans away before I removed the necessary parts. I had an extra shift bracket from another 2004r transmission . The old transmission was a 200.
I think the car had a centered bracket on the shifter and that is what i have now.
I'll play with it tomorrow and try try to get it setup better.
Thanks
