whats the best upgrade for a 200 4r to hold up behind a olds 455 with mild cam. its has a 350 turbo in it now. i would like to have overdrive so i can hit the highway to check out car shows maybe save a little on the gas

You need a properly rebuilt 2004R with line pressure increased, billet servo, upgraded clutch and bands set at the right clearances, along with a $400 billet forward drum with the welded in shaft, upgraded sunshell and stator at minimum. Plus a deep pan and bottom feed filter. Look at about $2000 in parts alone and built by someone who knows these trans.
