BFG’s for the win here.
I like they way they look, wear and track. Nothing says “I cheaped out on my car at the last minute” quite like no-name RWL tires. Just IMO mind you.

Haven’t personally run a set of Coopers yet, but I’ve heard good things about them.

Edit: let’s see if I can make that a complete sentence with only abbreviations...

“RWL BFG’s FTW IMHO.
TY.”

is anyone else picking up on the irony here, people are saying bfg's are outdated and the topic is based on a 14" tire size question 🙂
Good point. For the record, I just don't like them, no matter what technology they lack. I guess I'm too young for liking RWLs at 46. I just never liked the look- too busy.

Looking at 215/70R14's if it matters. I have 225/70's on there now and they're too wide/tall and rub just slightly at full turn (!)

225/70/14's rub???

What did you do with your suspension?

Another vote for BFG's. Why? Because over the years they have have become "the standard" choice for hot rodders. They get put on a lot of high end cars. It's just me but when I see any other white letter tires at car shows it screams cheap and 2nd choice because someone wanted to save money. Admittedly, the performance is lacking but I buy them for the look. If the tires were black wall then I would go for performance and value for the money.

Another reason I went with the Cooper's is BF Goodrich doesn't make the tires anymore!!!

I had Cooper Cobras years ago and they are still are the market so that says something. I had them on my 74 GP and liked them.
