Here in western Pa we wish the 87 Octane was that cheap. $2.65, gotta love gas taxes.... not with the stock market high and gas at $2.35 for 93 Octane.

It's a liability issue, among other things. It would've changed the structural ridgitity of the car from standard and it wouldn't pass saftey tests. Yes, it sounds stupid. "Well why don't they just wear a helmet?" Would you wear a helmet every time you get in the car, whether you're racing or not? If it had a cage in it, you'd have to wear the helmet at all times. Even with a seatbelt/harness, there is sitll a chance your unprotected dome could smack one of the bars. If you want to, you can put a cage in it. To sell it to the public as a street legal, registerable, and insurable vehicle, Dodge cannot. It wouldn't be street legal with a cage either. It's just be a less powerful Drag Pak car. You can by all means drive the car to the track, race, and drive home. You just can't do under 10-12 seconds. 😛$100,000 to go high 9's I'm not impressed. I can't believe they didn't even put a cage in the car.
To be fair, it's still better off than our cars in the winter. ABS, TC, stability control, air bags. 😛As said these cars are cool but far from practical, let the *ss hats kill themselves if they like. The AWD GT will be practical year round and 14's is fast enough for me, wouldn't consider the Demon or the Hellcat in the winter which is 6 months of icy fun. Even our rwd SE with winter tires is OK in all but the worst weather.
CRUNCH!I bought a salavage car from this place a few weeks ago. This was sitting in the showroom, this place buys copart/iwia salvage cars and cleans them up a tad, and sells them for a fixed price.
Saw this 15 hellcat challenger and was looking at it when I was doing the paperwork for my girlfriends Fusion.
This car had under 2000 miles and the dude totalled it out. The front tires were brand new, rears were bald. Guy bought it and did burnouts for 2000 miles and wrecked the darn thing haha.

If you think about, you really don't see that rear quarter when you're going doen the road. So why worry about fixing it. All that matters is you only see the hood & thats the cars best view. If you do a burn out & it gets away from you, no problem, you can say it was already dented. 😀I bought a salavage car from this place a few weeks ago.
